Encourage Yourself

There are times in life when everything seems to be against you. No matter what you try to do; your best just does not seem like enough. Songs have been written to encourage individuals, but some days. The lyrics do nothing to make you feel better. Looking to the left and the right only makes you feel worse because it seems that no matter how hard you try the next man is always ahead of you--sometimes when they aren't living like anything. The devil himself would have you to believe that God has forsaken you although your teachings let you know otherwise. These are the times when we need to draw closer to the Lord. As humans we are quick to pick up the phone and call our girlfriends to discuss the matter. Some of us call our mom, but there is only one that can sustain you in that ninth hours when the chips are down and your back is against the wall. There is only one that will be there no matter the day or the hour. So when it looks like all hope is gone, look to Jesus. He is the one, the only one that can truly satisfy. Man will fail you, it is human nature. Don't be hard on man. Just be grateful that you have a friend that you can go to. If God puts it one you, you can take it. He is preparing you. He is working out those things that need to be cast away in order for Him to use you for the purpose for which you were created. He is shaping you and molding you just like the potter at the potter's wheel. Be of courage and increase your faith, you are being tried by fire. You will not be burned. Hold on and be strong. The battle has been fought and the victory has been won. Trust Him (Jesus). He is the God of a second chance and the only one that can deliver you out of the hand of your oppressor. There is nothing too hard for Him so give it to Him and wait on your deliverance for the time is drawing nigh. P.U.S.H--pray until something happens, a break through is coming your way. God is in His holy temple. Yield yourself to Him, trust and never doubt--good things will be added unto you.
