Say What

Today's news coupled with watching Schindler's List is really starting to bother me today. Why do people/have people always think/thought that it was okay to trample on the feelings of others? Does it make since that just because you are angry with someone, prettier than someone, smaller than someone, a different race from someone that it is okay to throw caution to the wind where that individual's feelings are concerned? Yes, I am human and probably guilty of stepping on another individual's feelings; however, I do not make a conscious effort to do so. I do not sit down and plan out how to make another individual unhappy. I have better things to do with my time than to make fun of others or plan their demise. Why do you think it is that way? Are people just so deeply unhappy with themselves that the only way that they can feel better is by kicking someone while they are down and daring them to get up and try again? Has life become so difficult that the need for power has overtaken the innate ability to nurture?

Sexting--ending in a life; bosses--working evil against employees; husband--stepping out on wives; wives--lowrating their husbands; sisters and brothers--refusing to be on one accord; preachers--can we find a true one in the world today? This has got to stop. We have to embrace each other. We have to love one another. Otherwise we are setting up a hostile environment for our children and their children behind them. Please let's get it together. Like the old song says, We are the world.
